SEED
Cathy, as a SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) facilitator, also offers programs to help guide peers in conversational communities to drive personal, organizational, and societal change toward social justice. The methodology involves personal reflection and testimony, listening to others' voices, and learning experientially and collectively, in the context of each participant’s intersecting identities.
In Schools
Drawing on methodologies from Mindfulness, Neuroscience, and Contemplative Psychology, Cathy has created a complete mindfulness, meditation, compassion training curriculum for K-12 and teachers which works hand-in-hand with the school’s existing SEL program.
Cathy also offers Implicit Bias and Mindfulness Seminars for K-12 and Professional Development to explore the power of perceived similarity. This seminar uses activities to expand the sphere of compassion and embrace our common humanity and aspirations for happiness and freedom from suffering.
